many many rocktober-socktober socks hanging out together, each wondering what the other is thinking...

e's sock, doing something none of us could have forseen - striping vertically. yes, vertically. she is using some crazy cabley-rib that is mahvelous, dahling, simply mahvelous...

julie's sock - and what a sock it is! she is using the waterfall rib pattern from the sock-lover's bible, sensational knitted socks, and, i daresay, is close to completion on sock #1...

wg's socks, being all done and stuff. she used a double-moss stitch for the cuff, and made the socks her trademark cankle-length. true to wg's form, her striping is to die for...

nk's socks. you can't see it, but nk has perfected the art of picot-ing, and is not afraid to use that knowledge to build the perfect sock. she also added something...unexpected... to these socks - look closely and you will see leaves in the ribbing. yes, leaves. like, for the fall. they are fabulous...

and, last, my socks. i had begun with a random-rib, but quickly changed my mind when i saw how inventive my fellow kal-ers were being. i dove into a stitchionary, and found a simple, four-stitch cable, with which i am attempting to perfect the whole "cabling-sans-cable-needle" thing...

i have no photo for iris, but she reports that she is plugging away, and bound and determined NOT to provide an embarrassing photo of herself. we will have to see about that, won't we?
