We went over to my parents' home for dinner Saturday night. My sisters did the majority of the cooking. Good thing for us, as they like to bake.
Case in point. Chocolate chip cookies with Chopped Andes mints substituted for regular chips. Oh. Yum.
A small amount of knitting was accomplished over the weekend. The proverbial heel has been turned on the second STR Rare Gem Teosinte sock. The shadows you see are natural...i.e. from the sun. Really.

OK. The sock photo is really really cool. The pattern is gorgeous.
Now I'm off to the grocery store to buy some chocolate, butter and brown sugar. sigh.
Delicious!!!
And the Teosinte sock looks great! Always nice to find a perfect pattern for STR.
Hi Gail!
What a pretty blog you have.
You´re such a good photographer. And a wonderful knitter too!
Oh,why did I come here at 10:44 pm with no ingredients in the house to bake chocolate chip cookies? Sigh.
I love Teosinte's impersonation of a whale with tail flipped up!
The cookies look delicious.
I love the pattern detail on the socks.
You are such a bad enabler! Those cookies look fantastic and the socks are outstanding! All drool worthy!
Ooh the sun and the cookies with Andes mints..yum.
It was nice to knit with you on Saturday. I think I stayed up too late knitting that night, I singed the stupid afghan (set it down too close to a candle), you can hardly tell though, luckily. I smelled burning wool and came running....
Hope you are having a great day! I just awarded you the "You make my day" Award over on the blog :)
oh wow, those socks are totally great! i love them in that colorway.
