Summer's end is just around the corner. Less than 4 days away. Dusk is coming upon us earlier and earlier. The shadows are getting longer and longer. A sure sign that autumn is rapidly approaching is the Sauerkraut festival that is happening this weekend.
Before too long, it will be time to reminisce about the warm light of summer evenings while wearing these socks to keep my toes toasty warm. I, for one, can't wait!

duh, how'd i miss that previous photo of this jewel-toned sock? silly me. love it, and still love that calico monkey, too! you may just inspire me to cast on for a pair of monkeys. i've put it off long enough...
I love the calico most, but am stunned by the beautiful colors on that darker sock.

Oh, I'm with ya. When that wind shifts around from the south to the north, something starts in my blood. I yearn for candlelight, beefy stews and of course, wooly knits!
