What are we up to this fine, snowy Saturday...we're following the idea of the little guy below...we are hunkering down at home, knitting, gently battling over which movie to watch (him: Europa, Europa; me: Pride and Prejudice...I'm losing), and thawing out the camera and ourselves after our little jaunt around the neighborhood! Brrr. I'd show you the brilliant picture I took of the cup of hot tea and cookies, but they were safely nestled in my tummy before the shutter released!
I hope you're all safe and warm, and enjoying your Saturday!
Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.

No need to dream of a white Christmas! And do we need to knit that squirrel a pair of mitts or socks?!
We are winning with Pride & Prejudice!! The Colin Firth Edition :) Perfect for knitting gifts today!
Stay warm!
Beautiful photos! Thanks for sharing them.
We are experiencing a similar landscape, but it's not quite so peacful inside since the kids & dogs are stuck here as well.
I loved these photos, the snowflakes perched on the back of the squirrel, the Robin singing, they are all so wonderful. It was a warm day in Southern California and for the first time in a week I didn't need to wear a jacket, the sun was out and the air clean from our recent rain so that I could see the snow on the local mountains. Knitting is such a wonderful way to pass the time and Pride and Prejudice is great to knit to. Knitting to action films causes much rewatching of scenes as I end up missing something due to glancing down at my knitting or pondering something in the pattern. Stay safe and warm.
Wow great wildlife photos. Wish we had a bit more of that in our neighborhood. We did have a hummingbird at our feeder Saturday morning!
I stayed home today. 2 buses crashed yesterday trying to scale 'the hill' and now the tram is the only way up.
Yikes!!
