Keeley

Ahhh...the title of this post should make you catch your breath and strike awe into your very soles! At least a resounding round of "yippy skippy" should be cast. Yes, the rarely seen and frequently doubted existence of our third cat has been documented for all of blogland to witness...well, my three readers at least!

We think Keeley is stunningly gorgeous. Adorable at the very least. She is tempermental and painfully shy. Most of her days are spent in the closet or under the bed. We love her and wish she would surface more frequently. She comes out to snuggle with me at bedtime because, 1) well, you know...she's the boss, and 2) the best place to cuddle is to plant herself between me and my reading material (Breaking Dawn at the moment).

How fitting that she should share her time on the blog with another Rare Gem...this Tesserae sock.

The other morning she was sitting in the chair at the dining table (aka photostudio/computer desk) and the light was perfect. She was very patient and still as I gathered my camera and tripod. I had to stealthily divert Mr. NK as he padded down the hallway as I knew she would bolt if he made it all the way to the dining room.

She was patient.
I was as fast as possible.
20 some odd shots were taken, and then she flew down the hall.
Diva.

There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats.

She's beautiful! Terrific pictures, I'm glad you were able to capture her on film!

She is absolutely beautiful - - just look at her eyes - - they capture me in every picture! I'm glad you were able to have a successful photo shoot before she bolted back to her refuge. I had one that was similar and would come out in the evening too once everyone settled down. Makes it special doesn't it?

She's a beautiful princess! I'm so glad she honored us with her presence. And of course, your pictures are terrific, as always. She drew me out of lurkdom!

I just sighed when I saw the first picture - I wish I could reach through and rub my fingers through that beautiful coat. One of my kitties is like that with strangers - it takes 2 days or so before she will come anywhere someone new and even longer before she'll expose her belly.

I think you borrowed her.

Just kidding ;-)

Oh, such a sweetie!
I am searching for a new kitty as soon as I get back home because my sweetie shy kitty aged out two years ago. Thank you for sharing your kitty with me until I can get my own.

I am a new reader to your blog and a new knitter. Your cat is gorgeous! I am definitely a cat lover and only have one but one day would like to resue another.
Your quote at the end of this post is so true and very fitting.

I love your photography and hope to, some day, learn to make socks amongst other things.

Keeley is a lovely girl! I'm itching to add a third cat to our house but with 2 70lb dogs, 2 15yr old cats, and a two year old, I don't think we'll be adding anyone any time soon.
