"Vegetables are a must on a diet. I suggest carrot cake, zucchini bread, and pumpkin pie."
~Jim Davis, 'Garfield'
It was farmer's market day at work. Fresh veggies galore!
After the drizzle this morning, we had a beautiful evening...perfect for the official FO photoshoot of the RSC July 'In Season' socks.
Check out the Hatch Chilis that a friend brought back for me from a recent trip to Texas. They're in season now, too!!
You can read more about the mods to these socks here and here. They're a quick and satisying knit. I love, love, love the yarn and really just couldn't resist show casing it with these luscious veggies one last time!
It wouldn't be a farmer's market post without the obligatory egg shot, would it?

Hi,
I just love your blog and your photography. I have a question, hopefully, you'll answer. What do you do with all the lovely socks you knit? I have been knitting less than a year and am working on my very first pair of socks - they seem to be taking me forever to finish. I'll be lucky to finish them before the end of the year. You seem to always have new ones on the needles.
Oh, to stay on topic - todays post - I lived in Albuquerque for 14 year and miss the Green Chile so much. I just recently went back for vacation and that's all I ate, things smothered in Green Chile. YUM!
OMG. I am currently making the same socks from the last yarn from the BMFA sock club. I wasn't fond of the yarn colors or the pattern, but I like it with this pattern just fine. What a coinkidink! I loved sock pattern #3, but wasn't fond of the color chosen for it and once I began knitting it the whole pattern was lost in the yarn colors. I am trying to figure out what to knit from kit #3 colorway.
Love the blog, love the photos, love the inspiration!
Love love love your diptych--I hope you do more!
You're such the prolific knitter and my very favorite photographer!
So what time should I be there for dinner? Yummy yummy veggies!! The socks are just fabulous!! Love the picot!
Mwooo hoo hoo. We LOVE Garfield in this house. That was a very funny quote.
Again. such amazing pictures. thanks.
Great photo shoot! I love that yarn, haven't gotten around to knitting it just yet but have been knitting now that it is cooling off a bit. Hooray for Fall and great knitting weather!
