Good morning! It's Saturday! You know what that means...no, not sleeping in. It's time for assignment 3 of the Spring C and C photography workshop.
The assignment was to pick a color and tell a story with it, either visually, or with words. I picked green...I wanted to do pink...I had a whole story in my head with pink; I ended up with green. I think it was the walks along a local creek that swayed me toward green...all those ferns!
I couldn't help myself, I had to pop this image into b&w just to see what would happen...I love color, but sometimes a little silence after a busy week is welcomed.
Please go check out the C and C community, as I'm sure there will be many delights for the eyes if you follow the links here.
Happy Saturday! xo

Your images are gorgeous. When I look at them they look like they should hang in a museum. Wow, I just love the marble shots.

Sooooo pretty. Love the fiddleheads, peonies (gorgeous color), asparagus...all such worthy subjects. I can see we share a fern-love.
Very nice work, great.
I can not choose which picture most like:)
Ah the green all the charm:)
I love all of them. They are so fresh!
And we chose the same colours!!!
:)
Oh wow, love your photos and green, so beautiful. The photos of the ferns are amazing, the marble photos are great too and wow the green ball off centre one...
Ohhhh, wow. I love 'em, especially the series of marbles in the glass jar, too beautiful. I also like the green ball on the post. So creative and pretty.
These are beautiful! How lucky you are to have fiddle heads to photograph - they are amazing. The marbles are full of light. And I love that sort of askew asparagus photo. Great series!
All beautiful images. I do like the marbles and I too felt like I needed balck and white after taking my colour pictures!

I love to see a fern growing!
Beautiful pictures!!
I didn't know that Muffy is famous all over the world ;)
oh my goodness... i truly love them all...♥ sooo lovely!!
both the ferns and marbles are so lovely -- you''ve capatured their essential "ferniness" and "marbleness" really well. the two diptych's are my favorites.
i especially love the dreamy marbles. lovely color studies, all.
Love your color story Gail..beautiful colors you chose. The marbles are very creative...beautiful light and composition on these.
Very inspiring.
I was hoping someone would do pink-- you did anyway. The green and pink diptych kills me. Those pretty marble pics w the unexpected black and the gorgeous blurs-- yum. Love the black (grey) and white-- so soft. I need to get out my marbles, yes, I have marbles too. Lovely work Gail.
magical ferns. you are so lucky to have them near you! so many shades of green you found.....the bright globe of to the right side of the fame is the best. it's like a planet, or a moonrise, with the earth's landscape behind. i really like that. and i love pink too! i almost picked pink, but you gotta listen to what catches your eye when you have the camera.
The ferns are gorgeous, love your clse-ups! And the asparagus - the hint of purple to go with the green is beautiful. The marbles and the glass jar, and the different focal points! I love the last one of the glass ball - on top of the mossy wood against the blue & white sky! Magic, it makes me think of wizards & wise women :)
the green is so soothing and fresh here...great story telling...
The soft celadon greens of the marbles are a delight, as is the lavender bloom contrasting with the soft greens. Very delicate and sumptuous color!
Wonderful choice of photos! The second to last is just beautiful!
What a beautiful salute to spring. I love your first set of photos with the fern unfurling. Lovely! And the purple constrasting flower is equally stunning.
Those marbles just make for lovely pictures. You take such wonderful photos. And thanks for the eye candy link!
Oh, I love the marble pics. Something about the smoothness of the glass jar and marbles against the rough textured wood makes me love it.
:)Lisa
beautiful inspiration. we went hiking last week and i didn't have my camera and was disappointed because the fiddleheads were everywhere. really enjoyed those photos! and the orb on the moss - i like the skewed angle. nice work!
sigh. my favorite color. Fills me with peace and calm.
I have one tiny, fragile asparagus spear in my garden. I feel like building a shrine around it.
I loved the shot of the marble on the post outside. I love green. Bravo!!
