And back to the pink socks...they're coming along...it doesn't seem like a lot of progress since last week, but...
I have two toes now...I actually have a full complement of 10 toes, but two sock toes.
The first sock seemed snug. I like negative ease...but my gut instinct told me that these socks would be too tight. I'd already frogged once, so I wound the second skein and started the second sock so I could test my guess hypothesis regarding the size.
So far so good...at least it fits in the tea cup..and better yet, it fits on my foot!! :)
Now, I can rip back the first sock confident that I have a successful plan for resizing. As always, I will keep my fingers crossed! :)
Why Junuary you ask? June is rapidly breaking records for cold and wet here in the Pacific NW...and has been dubbed Junuary by the radio host I listen to.
Thank goodness for glow in the dark pink socks to keep the days bright!
The flower that follows the sun does so even on cloudy days.

I'm so bad, I lurk and enjoy your fabulous photos and wonderful knitting, but I just have to ask you - what program are you using for the special effects on your photos? Love it!
Sorry about your weather-- love that lamby leaf detail. And is that pretty white starry flower a Chinese bell flower?-- mine (purple) are just coming into bloom.
That is my favorite quote so far. I'm going to write that one down.
That photo of the peony and the lambs ear is divine. Sugary sweet.
Junuary it is! I like that term for what we're experiencing here! Rain, rain go away, come again another day!
Oh, I thought you were going to say that since they were too small for you, you were going to give them away to a lucky commenter! ; )
No?
Those are beautiful!
I wish we could exchange some of your cold and rain for my hot heat.
oooh Love that teacup pic!
So tired of the rain and cold. I wore wool socks today, and I was still cold all day!
Your hot pink socks are lovely. They make me warmer just looking at them!
Junuary, I love it! And that's about right, or maybe fall with long days. We just heard that there was fresh snow on the pass in Montana this morning...... Hey, the high here tomorrow is supposed to be 67! Bleh.
It's still quite cold in London as well, I was studying in my room the other day and seriously considered turning on the heating for a while. On June 16th! Blasphemy! At times like that I always get the urge to finally give sock knitting a crack!
We had a fair share of cold and damp a little over a week ago and up to that point. But, this last week the weather has been making up for it! Makes me a bit sad since we don't have AC :-)
The socks look gorgeous!
