We went to the Dahlia festival last weekend...my sister and I went Saturday, and Mr. NK and I returned on Sunday. It was phenomenal. We were a little challenged with some overcast skies and wind, but we made the most of it...who cares about wind and clouds when you have a bounty of color and texture at your fingertips!
I hope you enjoy the view!
Wishing you a fabulous weekend! xo

You have exceeded yourself!!!
Thanks as always, and especially today for sharing your beautiful images.
Many hugs!
can I use these pics for dyeing inspiration?!
Oh my, does it get any more precise and perfect than "Cheerleader"? Gorgeous!
Great dahlia photos, Gail! I'd love to grow some, but our yard is too shady.
They are all amazing. I 'accidently' planted some in my garden this year. I had no idea what they were - funny little dried bulbs - and then a deep burgundy colored plant emerged and there are the flowers. Pretty and pink.
I love "Bliss" and "you are my sunshine' for their very strange and wonderful petal arrangments. You have such nice focus on them. So pretty.
"Cheerleader" just seems too perfectly perfect to be a flower. So pretty.
Wow, these are all beautiful, and I really enjoyed your captions! Hope you have a good weekend.
Just beautiful Gail, so much love and care in them-- the time you spent honors them well. Specially love first, last and #6-- they are all great!
Ah, this has to be one your best!
We don't have dahlias around here. I'm sure it's too hot for them. So, I've never see most of these flowers.
So, Gail. When are you going to start offering calendars through CafePress or Zazzle or some such?
