back to basics

Into the Whirled...a new to me vendor I met at MSWF. 

I couldn't resist this skein...a second skein might've jumped into my bag, too...

...I see lemon, berries, and chocolate in this color...yum!

Is there a better plan than to knit a new sock from this gorgeous yarn? Nope.

Just a simple rib and stockinette pattern this time around...back to basics.

We can complain because rose bushes have thorns,

Redbud socks in progress (note the second cuff!!).

Fresh chive blooms picked by Mr. NK because their color coordinated with the redbuds.

Somehow I've experienced some needle breakage...not while knitting...just the universe giving me a wee bit of grief in the form of a puppy and a too-snug-camera-bag!

I stuck them in a bouquet of chives so I could thumb my nose back! Hah!

I'm back....re-entry bites.

I'm slowly...very slowly...catching up at home and at work.

A good amount of knitting was accomplished while at the MSWF...the first Spring Twist sock is finished and the second started...same for the Redbud socks.

Check out Marion...we're doing a mini KAL with the Toasty Twist pattern. Aren't hers lovely?!

There was a little stash acquisition accomplished, too...pics later!

The Redbud socks are coming along.

I have a few days of travel ahead of me...I'm thinking they have a good chance of being finished next time you see them...

...that is if all the fun here doesn't poop me out too much!! Is anyone else going to the MSWF??
